Beyond Horse Massage – Basic Clinic
February 18th, 2023 Germania Stables held a clinic on basic horse massage, following the Masterson method (Jim Masterson – USET Endurance Team Equine Massage Therapist). It was an excellent beginners class covering the three main junctions of a horse (Poll-Atlas junction; the neck-shoulder-withers (Cervical-Thoracic C7-T1) junction, and the hind-end (Sacroiliac junction). Followed by the intuitive approach to touch and response, and the different levels of pressure, using fun aides to teach the concept to both those young and old. We talked about different responses you may get from your horse and then went outside to the arena and tried out all that we learned. It was a fun and very informative day!
Definitely keep us in mind if this is the something that sounds interesting because there will for sure be more of this to come…
Equine Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field (PEMF) at Germania Stables
You might be asking yourself, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field therapy? What is that? Well PEMF is a therapy that uses technology to stimulate and exercise cells to help resolve cellular dysfunction and to support overall wellness. Pulsed PEMF therapy treats your cells like batteries. It’s common for them to slowly be drained of energy. By the end of the day, your body and mind may fell tired and depleted. The same goes for our equine friends.
Below is a picture of Reba enjoying her pulsed PEMF therapy that sends magnetic energy into the body. These energy waves work with our body’s natural magnetic field to help improve healing. PEMF helps at the cellular dysfunction and while it might sound or look crazy it is entirely safe and truly works wonders!
